The California Association of Black School Educators (CABSE) is a non-partisan organization consisting of elected and appointed school officials, administrators and instructors from across California who are committed to advancing equity for Black students. CABSE members represent governmental agencies, charter schools and charter school organizations, public school districts, traditional public schools, and community colleges.


To expand the PK-14 educational opportunities available to all students in California, with an emphasis on under-represented and under-served black students, by enacting policies that will strengthen student performance while bolstering opportunities for college and career readiness, to ensure competency and lifelong success.
The California Association of Black School Educators (CABSE) is a statewide organization dedicated to advancing equity, access, and excellence for Black students across California’s public education system.
Through research, advocacy, professional development, and cross-sector partnerships, CABSE empowers educators and leaders
to dismantle systemic barriers and implement policies and practices that center Black student success.
CABSE’s initiatives—including its annual Education Conference, Institutes, and Blueprint 2.0 framework—equip districts and communities with the tools to create transformative, sustainable change in education.
